Safe Spaces

A safe space is a space where the LGBTQI+ community can freely express themselves without fear. It is a space that does not tolerate violence, bullying, or hate speech towards the LGBTQI+ community.

• 25-metre pool with six lanes
• Multi-use leisure pool (includes zero-depth entry, a lazy river, a tots' area, two additional lanes, spray toys and benches with hot tub jets)

• Waterslide (with elevator allowing people who use wheelchairs or mobility devices to share in the enjoyment of riding southern Vancouver Island's tallest and longest waterslide. Min height to ride the waterslide is 42").

Panorama Recreation Aquatic Centre

• 2 full-size arenas.
• Throughout the fall and winter seasons, various skating programs offered, including figure skating, learn to skate, and ice hockey.
• During the spring and summer seasons, the arenas are dry floor. Dry floor rentals are available April to August.

With support and funding from Greater Victoria Canadian Tire Dealers, Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities gifted the Peninsula Recreation Commission a 13,200 square foot Jumpstart Multi Sport Court through its Inclusive Play Project.

Jumpstart Multi Sport Court

Court Use Guidelines

• Court hours: 8am-10pm, unless otherwise noted.
• Panorama Recreation programs and events have priority. 
• Courts available on a first-come, first served basis. Limit play to 30 minutes if others waiting.
  Bring or borrow equipment. Equipment may be signed out at Reception (available first come, first served).
• Certified guide and assistance animals only.
• Report any facility or equipment concerns to Panorama Recreation staff.
• All users are expected to adhere to Panorama Recreation’s code of conduct. 
• The Peninsula Recreation Commission is not responsible for lost/stolen items or for loss/injuries arising from unauthorized use of the facility.

• Concept II Rowers, Keiser spin bikes, Stairclimbers, NUSTEPs & Interactive Expresso gaming bikes.
• A variety of stability balls, BOSUs, medicine balls, balance boards, tubing & TRXs.
• Fitness/Wellness Studio.
